چکیده
Global soils are under extreme pressure from various threats due to population expansion, economic development, and climate change. Mapping of land degradation vulnerability (LDV) using geospatial techniques play a significant role has great importance, especially in semi-arid climates for the management natural resources sustainable manner. The present study was conducted assess spatial distribution hotspots based on some important parameters such as use/land cover (LULC), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), terrain characteristics (Topographic Wetness Multi-Resolution Valley Bottom Flatness), climatic (land surface temperature mean annual rainfall), pedological attributes (soil texture soil organic carbon) by Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) GIS region Bundi district, Rajasthan, India. Land (LST) NDVI products were derived time-series Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) datasets, rainfall data Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station (CHIRPS), Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM), LULC Landsat 9, variables legacy datasets. Weights thematic layers AHP studied area follows: (0.38) > (0.23) ST (0.15) LST (0.08) TWI (0.06) MAR (0.05) SOC (0.03) MRVBF (0.02). consistency ratio (CR) all <0.10, indicating high accuracy AHP. results show that about 20.52% 23.54% moderate very degradation, respectively. Validation LDV zones help ultra-high-resolution Google Earth imageries indicates good agreement model outputs. research aids better understanding influence long-term development at watershed level.

Assessing the Vulnerability of the Land Using the IDI Combination Model in Arid and Semi arid Regions (Khorasan Razavi)
Land vulnerability one of the major global challenges as an objective case of degradation of arid, semi-arid and semi-humid ecosystems caused by natural processes and human activities. However, in order to assess the vulnerability of the land, it is necessary to know exactly the degree of tolerance of ecosystems and the use of indigenous knowledge systems to external conditions. The present stud...
متن کاملMultiple Impact of Integrated Watershed Management in Low Rainfall Semi-Arid Region: A Case Study from Eastern Rajasthan, India
The agriculture in low rainfall areas of eastern Rajasthan, India is characterized by high risks from drought, degraded natural resources and pervasive poverty, food insecurity and malnutrition. In this region, water is the main limiting factor for upgrading rainfed agriculture. For such areas integrated watershed management is recognized as a potential approach for agriculture growth and rehab...
متن کاملDistribution and seasonality of vertically transmitted dengue viruses in Aedes mosquitoes in arid and semi-arid areas of Rajasthan, India.
BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES Transovarial transmission of dengue virus is a crucial etiological phenomenon responsible for persistence of virus during inter-epidemic period of the disease. Distribution and seasonality of this phenomenon in disease endemic areas may contribute to explain emergence of dengue and its subsequent prevention. The study on seasonal and area distribution of transovarial tra...
متن کاملEntomological studies for surveillance and prevention of dengue in arid and semi-arid districts of Rajasthan, India.
BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES Rajasthan is one of the dengue endemic states of India. Very few studies have been published on entomological aspects of dengue in this state. Owing to water scarcity, inhabitants in desert areas overstore domestic water which leads to the persistence of dengue vectors within the domestic premises. Area specific knowledge on breeding, key containers and seasonal rhythms ...
